Springboks vs World XV First Test 1989 The South African Rugby Board celebrated its centenary in 1989 and as part of the celebrations, a World XV toured South Africa to play against provincial teams as well as the Springboks over two tests. Watch for Doc Craven footage at the beginning. This is further proof if needed that the Rugby sanctions and isolation failed.
