SA vs Ireland 1981 - 2nd test Add Video

Springboks saved by 3 Naas Botha drop goals. These two test matches was played in preperation for the 1981 tour to NZ. Ireland exposed SA's weakness at the breakdowns in these two test matches. Fergus Slattery, John O'Driscoll and Willie Duggan were simply brilliant in these two test matches. Louw, Stofberg and Claassen probably to similar in style; no 'fetcher' in the trio. The issue of the loose forward trio was something that become a bit of an issue in NZ and probably cost SA the series.
