The McLook rugby collection

A personal collection that tells the story of Springbok rugby

Anti tour protesters Sydney 1971 Add Video

These anti tour protesters were the usual "long-haired malcontent Marxists and agitators" intent on irritating the good and hard working rugby supporters. Most were a sickly white liberal bunch of do gooders, hippies, drug addicts, unmarried mothers, conscientious objectors, vegetarians, work-shy dole bludgers, unwashed rabble, trade unionists backed by Mosow, Vietnam War protesters looking for a new cause, bogus asylum seekers and illegal immigrants, feminists, poofters, draft dodgers, and worst of all rugby league supporters.

No wonder the Springboks did not want to play the awful aussies for another twenty years.

South African cops would have moved them very quickly. A very comprehensive description of the trouble makers by All Blacks 1996. We are supposed to be PC now and not laugh, but I did. Great stuff.
